Why Anti-government Conservatives Should Celebrate Today

Many people in this country seem to think the Founders poured from a pitcher of freedom.

This group got this much and that group got that much until the pitcher was empty. Now every time a new group comes along asking for freedom everybody is expected to pour a little from their glass into the new glass until everyone has the same amount.

Under this metaphor people lose some of their freedom by giving it to others. This makes people who have freedom question if the new group that comes along should have to EARN it before they're willing to give them some.

That's NOT how it works.

The way it ACTUALLY works is: The more people who have freedom, the harder it is for the government to take it away.

So celebrate! The government isn't going to take away your freedom to find someone who will eventually leave you because you are a fucking conservative.
