The 5 SCOTUS justices made the correct interpretation of that amendment. If they don't like the decision, tough shit.

" really hope that all of you that put the gay colors across you profile picture knows what it means. Just saying."

They go on to quote new testament stuff, aka "the gay sex be bad".

sigh

All the rhetoric favoring the stars and bars bigots, then the crap following the SCOTUS decision made me realize, I don't need these people.

I have a few who are moderately Republican but don't post much about politics. Then there's that one gun nut RW whack job from high school, but I blocked his posts to keep my blood pressure under control.

Why do you have facebook friends who have different political views from you?

I don't.

Oh wait, maybe two. But I know them and I care about them. They have the right to post anything they want. As do I.

We stay friends.

But goodness gracious, perhaps you should check your friend list.

Maybe I see that as closed mindedness. Or maybe they are family.

Happy to see you are lucky that all of your friends are of one political mind and you don't have to worry about what you say at family events.

The world is not perfect but limiting your friendship to only those who vote like you is limiting your life. It could be similar to limiting your friendship to only those of a certain religion or race.

Politics is only a small part of our life!
