11. How would not having one help?

Then it would be only the influences of the market.

4. I'm not surprised...

I've been saying for months that most of average America is very interested in social justice, but not only economic justice.

Most people who aren't political junkies have not even heard of the TPP, or don't think of it as necessarily bad. For everyone who wants to burn down Wall Street, there are a bunch of others who have retirement funds (including state employees and union negotiated retirement) that are doing well.

Getting overly excited about TPP, Wall Street, and $15 minimum wage is way down on the list of most people. They are more interested in a path to citizenship, racial discrimination, women's rights, and LGBT rights: SOCIAL JUSTICE is important.

When there is a good week for things people are interested in, Obama will get credit. Even the ACA is gaining traction - including the non-supporting states like Florida. More and more people are simply happy to get insurance that they never had before.

9. Yep

What good is economic equality if you die because someone walked into a church and gunned you down?

What good is lower college tuition if you get racially profiled and gunned down on your way home from the store (Trayvon Martin).

10. Well said. And it is ever thus:

A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: 'We did it ourselves.'

13. And his global popularity ratings are through the roof

Obama enjoys 69% median approval in 40 countries http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-33249752

Money quote - "In all the countries surveyed in the EU and sub-Saharan Africa, half or more support the American president. In 29 countries, majorities said they were confident that Mr Obama would do the right thing when it came to world affairs."

Pew poll here http://www.pewglobal.org/2015/06/23/global-publics-back-u-s-on-fighting-isis-but-are-critical-of-post-911-torture/

Bush was so hated by the rest of the world, but Republicans claim Obama has screwed up the world and only they can fix it!

20. I thought it was 1589%

Or is that just the Ultra-liberals that love him that much....

Seriously, all of the people that label themselves liberal democrats in my world have him at 50% approval at best...

21. Your world is not a scientifc sample

Sorry. That's not how polling works.

If you look at the numbers, the people who label themselves as conservative democrats actually give him a lower approval rating than the people who label themselves liberal democrats.

Ponder that.

23. Their numbers are pretty consistent with other polls

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/obama-job-approval

All one needs to do is look at the internals of the polls cited to see his support among the various demographics.

I do agree though that Gallup's polling leaves much to be desired.
