"Real Time with Bill Maher"

Have long been a fan, and usually appreciate his panel not being entirely comprised of those preaching to the choir.
However, last week's panel had two GOP bottom feeders - Mary Matalin and Steve Schmidt. How the former has the chutzpah to even leave the house is beyond me, with Schmidt not far behind in his role as campaign manager for McCain/Palin.
On top of which: In his shows running up to the July hiatus, Maher never took up the TPP as a topic (and don't think it was even mentioned). I hope that someone on Maher's staff will eventually notice these absurd dysjuncts.

I do believe Mary Matalin was trying to flirt with him and he kept pulling away from her like she was wearing cheap perfume. At least she wasn't drunk this time like the last appearance she made that I saw her on. I don't remember if it was on Maher or another show. But that thing she said about Carly Fiorina learning Greek so she could read the Bible like that's the reason she should be President was cuckoo talk.

Give him time. I'm sure he will cover TPP down the line although he's more on top of environmental concerns than jobs and labor like Ed Schultz is.

that she abetted the previous "vice president" doesn't belong on the show, imo.
She and Fiorina deserve each other (and, as if Bill is going to be impressed by Bible study).
Taking a page from McCain, Matalin should consider running on the ticket with Scotty Walker; they are equally deranged.

He mentioned the craziness of some of the statements several times. Maher even chided him for that, because Bill asked him why he's still supporting such craziness.

I think Schmidt is more potty trained and sees this impending train wreck for what it is.

I think that he actually is a different person today, than he was before the 2008 election. He is one of the few republicans on television who demonstrates the ability to -- at times -- think for himself.

and the California Lt Governor were quite good.

I know folks won't like it, but TPP is nothing new, we survived NAFTA and every other similar agreement since 1959. As Krugman has said, the things people blame on NAFTA were really the result of other factors. The world is changing, and we have to change with it. Plus, I think some of the issues folks really oppose, will be changed before any agreement, assuming there is one, is submitted to Congress.
