New one I saw in a store flyer.
Brownie Batter Oreos.
In reality I don't eat Oreos very often at all, the cookie parts are just a bit TOO crispy for my taste.

(14,449 posts)It seems to dictatorship to me. I eat foods because my taste of said foods wants to. If I love Oreos, I will always eat Oreos until I decide I don't like them anymore not because they changed locations. Now if they change ingredience and they taste different and I don't like the new taste then I won't eat them anymore. Same with chick fil a, I happen to love the food and during the boycott of one persons opinion that I did not agree with, I still wanted to eat there so I did. The food tasted the same. Politics and food should be banned like religion and politics should be. We never discuss any other daily item like shampoo or patio furniture so why food?

(14,449 posts)And whose to say that a conscience needs to be molded to ones desire by others? Nobody should be told what to eat or be food shamed. It is sad that it has come to this.

(15,805 posts)Oreos just don't taste as good as they used to. The cookie parts are as tasteless as cardboard and not nearly as chocolatey as they one were, and they are harder, not light and crispy. The filling stuff is also tasteless and very greasy, it's like eating barely sweetened shortening... and that's the American made product, so I expect it will get worse when made elsewhere.
Meanwhile, I have rediscovered pie as a worthy replacement when I need a sweet. Homemade, bakery fresh, frozen, deep fried... goodbye Oreos!

(14,449 posts)Gosh for a party that wants to help the worlds disadvantaged, it would be nice if we all really meant it. This might help families be able to stay together in Mexico instead of the family having to split up to go work at the Oreo factory in the U.S.

Don't you think he would strongly disagree?
hollysmom
(5,946 posts)by not doing it now, it teaches that the consumer and the manufacturer have the same goals
and what makes you think that making oreos will be the wonderful thing in Mexico - the salaries will drop and profit raise (maybe, still don't buy that it works). So we should celebrate companies making higher profits by lowering salaries?

(6,800 posts)Oreos are knock-off Hydrox, which are being reintroduced by Leaf (and made in USA, I think). Their Facebook page says they are to start shipping Sept. 15.
