Trump: I 'Totally Disagree' With Fox Boss, Megyn Kelly Is Not 'Quality Journalist'

Donald Trump said Tuesday that he "totally disagrees" with Fox News boss Roger Ailes calling on the billionaire to apologize for his attacks on host Megyn Kelly.

In a statement provided to Politico, Trump declined to apologize, and said he does not think Kelly is a "quality journalist."

"I think her questioning of me, despite all of the polls saying I won the debate, was very unfair," Trump said in the statement. "Hopefully in the future I will be proven wrong and she will be able to elevate her standards to a level of professionalism that a network such as FOX deserves."

Read the full statement over at Politico.

1. Well, she's not. Didn't she go on about how pepper spray is a food product?

And then suppressed a giggle? I mean, Sarah Palin can't help being dumb, because she obviously is, but Megyn Kelly - no matter what else she may be - is definitely bright, and would know better than to equivocate everyday food products like processed cheese spread or potato chips with pepper spray.

Was it an attempt to mislead her viewers? As a journalist, that's a cardinal sin, really unforgiveable. So no, Trump is correct that she's a low-level journalist.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Donald Effing Trump was the person to pull it off?

10. I don't think this is the particular issue where Fox News could be discredited.

Given that what Kelly was asking him during the debate was truthful, and Trump pretty much proved her point.

11. Fox news pretty much created Trump by brainwashing their viewers for 20+ years

And now they're trying to absolve themselves of any responsibility for him.

The perception among Fox's own audience is that Kelly was trying to trip him up, and Trump put her in her place.

IMO it would be extremely unwise for them to pick a fight with him right now. They might not like the outcome.

And regarding what you said, it doesn't matter whether Kelly was truthful or not, the perception among Fox viewers, stirred by Trump himself is that she was trying to trip him up and he put her in her place.

What they really need to do is just let this thing drop. Trump is not willing to work hard enough to be president and after he's had some fun pissing off republicans, he'll go back to doing what he does best - blowing through the money his daddy left him.

4. Well, I have to agree with Trump on this point: Megyn Kelly is far from a quality journalist . . .

I can't see where she gets off calling herself a journalist, let alone one of any substance. "Santa Claus is white." That alone disqualifies Ms Kelly from inclusion in the adult world, let alone acceptance as a journalist.

5. Oh, and also, according to Megyn Kelly, the Palestinian Jew known as Jesus was white.

Let it go no matter how stupid it looked. Same with this. He will just continue mouthing off insults.

Can you imagine if Merkil dared challenged him and him throwing insults across the ocean

His ego in no way can be quiet to a women speaking up to him.
