A Quantico councilwoman agreed last week to take down the Confederate flag she posted over a window in front of her apartment after several complaints were lodged with the town and residents turned out to complain at a council meeting.

"What? You Jewish people are offended by the big Nazi flag I taped to my window? I cannot imagine why! It has nothing to do with Hitler and concentration camps and the Holocaust and racism and all that stuff. Oh, my no! It's a symbol of my German heritage, that's all. Relax! Have a a beer and a knockwurst."
