Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsJeb Bush has defined himself with 4 words, "He Kept Us Safe"..
No lie is bigger or as simple to understand. And it is a lie. I believe as many do that this lie is it. He is gone. He cannot support that lie with facts, and he will be asked about it over and over. I personally did not expect it, but he said it twice. He has to take it back, or he has to support that lie. Either way it doesn't look good for Jeb. And that one is one that everyone knows about.

(38,436 posts)Let's just call him, .."He kept us safe." Jeb and, maybe he can answer the other question, "Where did the rubble come from?"
One lie, on top of another, and another. Just like his brother..!!!!.
but, this is such a simple and clear lie, and so easy to repeat again and again. We all saw the proof. And Jeb will be asked about it again and again by inquiring reporters and questioners. Would you explain that please?..

Tererizm!!! , so vote for Jeb! To keep America safe from babyless sexual practices!
He's an Idjit. An educsted Idjit to be sure, but still an idjit.
At least he's now an Idjit that won't be president, since he just torpedoed his own campaign with that remark. I never thought I'd say this, but Thank God for dumb children.

NOT, a little lie. and very easy to understand that it is a lie..so simple and easy, that we all understand this one.
no special tutoring need for anyone to understand.

(38,436 posts)that the PUKE leadership does not want this discussion..ever.. This information is known by people who follow this closely, but the average dumb non following person, a dumb follower of Fox So Called News, does not know about this
In my honest opinion, that is the reason that leadership does not want this ...when you read this most damning piece of evidence, you put up here, and an honest discussion starts, well , Jeb's brother was told about "Ben Ladin is determined to strike in US" and Jeb's brother did nothing...then,
Jeb's brother did not keep us safe..Jeb is a liar. Jeb's brother might have prevented 9/11. end of Jeb.
Never underestimate stupidity of followers of Republicans. If you told some of them this truth, they would call you a liar. They don't know because they don't take the time to know.
napkinz
(17,199 posts)you know the Republicans would have made sure EVERY single person in this country would have known about that memo
(not to mention calls for impeachment)

(38,436 posts)If they knew and understood its true meaning, as we do, it might turn a lot of them away from the GOP.

(17,199 posts)it's up to our candidates running for president to make an issue of this, and to challenge JEB! every time he spews, "My brother kept us safe."

(3,937 posts)That's likely why Cheney had to be present when GWB was questioned by the 911 panel on April 29, 2004.
GWB recently blurted out that part of his job as (fake) President was "to keep expectations low" -- a line I'm sure he heard many times inside their bubble. He isn't smart enough to keep their strategery stuff separate from their PR stuff.
If the Bushes told the whole truth it would sound something like this...

(10,272 posts)They know that it's electoral and political poison to do so, because as soon as they do, it will snowball and at the bottom of that hill, is Obama standing over a dead Bin Laden, a whole list of War Crimes indictments, Democratic control of the federal government for the next 3 decades, the complete annihilation of the Reagan conservative counter-revolution, the end of worldwide neoliberal shock-doctrine, AND THE END OF THE GRAVY TRAIN.
it's the ONE LIE that must be maintained, because to admit that one sees it, unravels all the OTHER lies.
No one over there will call him on it.
But Berne will=).

(10,272 posts)He knows damned-well the president isn't a muslim, and personally probably wouldn't give a flying fuck if he was.
'Money' conservatives tend to be rather socially liberal.
Opposition to things like TehGay tends to reduce profits,
Besides, if you're going to make your filthy lucre in the Global Marketplace, you kind of have to deal with other cultures/points of view.
It's why there's a schism in the GOP between the religious crazies and the monied interests, and who those people respectively back for president. Other than as a wedge issue to drum up votes that would otherwise not care and stay home, Boehner/McConnell and Co don't care about what i do with my dick OR planned parenthood, and the religious base over there is more than a little pissed at them for it.

(50,130 posts)They all said that Jeb had strategically owned the part of 9/11 that makes people cheer. Not one of them questioned the lie.
napkinz
(17,199 posts)do so.
They need to pin this one on Jeb; 9/11 happened on his brother's watch! Kept us safe my @ss!
AND a month before it happened, his brother IGNORED the memo WARNING him of the impending attack.
Babel_17
(5,400 posts)Maybe they meant Republicans? And specifically those who are ardent Republicans. They're basing their argument on the sampling of people attending the Republican debate. Then again, that might be a "nuance" they deem unimportant to their analysis.
Babel_17
(5,400 posts)Even conservative Democrats who sometimes vote for Republicans will mostly be turned off by the reminder of invading Iraq. Even some Republicans hate the idea of blowing up foreign countries.
Jeb! would have Democrats who are prone to forgetting to vote remembering this time around. Young people will register so as to not have more wars.
