Muslim dad admits strangling daughter in 'honour killing' after she stole condoms for sex with forbidden boyfriend

Muslim father has admitted strangling his daughter to death after she was caught shoplifting condoms to have sex with her forbidden boyfriend.

Asadullah Khan, 51, and his wife Shazia, 41, originally from Pakistan are both on trial for the murder of 19-year-old Lareeb Khan.

Khan told a court in Darmstadt, Germany, how he believed his daughter, a dental technician, had brought "dishonour" on his family by being in a relationship with a man he did not approve of.

He and his wife had an arranged marriage and Khan wanted the same for Lareeb, he told the court.

Khan admitted killing Lareeb in the early hours of January 28 while his wife watched, according to German newspaper bild.

In almost every case genuine mental illness combines with religulous idiocy to produce those tragic results. What this reflects is a significant, though not universal cultural norm. There is no comparable cultural norm in any non-muslim society or culture.

Not long ago there was a story posted here about a "father" and I use that term loosely, who let his adult daughter drown rather than be rescued by male lifeguards, as their touch would "dishonor" her and her family (meaning himself).
