(21,854 posts)I used to watch the show when I had a TV. I certainly would not mind if you posted the answer of Final Jeopardy. (Hint, hint).
I got up before Final - it was long over - I'll post it for you tomorrow

(14,400 posts)I might be paraphrasing a bit
He was the only Secretary General of the UN who is from a country that has never been a member on the Security Council.

(21,854 posts)Who is Dag Hammarskjold (spelling?)?
I'm old enough to know that name.
Is that right?

I called out Dag Hammarskjold as well but it was wrong. It was U Thant from Burma who was elected after Dag Hammarskjold was killed in the accident. I actually forgot all about U Thant, it was a little before my time.
Also I think the other reply to my comment was correct and they were looking for the country Burma and not the leader U Thant.

(21,854 posts)I do remember U Thant but could not remember where he was from, other than SE Asia.

(1,958 posts)with a population of 55 million, from which came a U. N. secretary general and the country was not a member of the security council. I would give the continent, but I don't know if that constitutes a spoiler. Nobody got it correct.

(14,400 posts)For some reason I never seem to remember the Final Jeopardy that clearly.

Dude has a steel trap memory, nothing escapes. Total recall. Impressive.
Now, back to Jeopardy.

(269,186 posts)again. Sorry Matt - as if it mattered.
Brother Buzz
(36,469 posts)That was his fifth appearance, and I suspect his mind was taxed because he was faultering early on before he kicked it into overdrive. One of these days, that is if he doesn't crash and burn, he WILL set a Jeopardy! record for the most money won in one day. Bank on it.
malaise
(269,186 posts)Yep - He's good.
I read that they tape five a day.
Brother Buzz
(36,469 posts)I was posting my observation on yesterdays show, his fifth. This west coaster has to wait a few more hours for number six.
A good day for me is guessing Final Jeopardy! based on just the category, something I do about 3-4% of the time.
