Washington (CNN)A new poll shows Donald Trump still holds a strong lead over his challengers in the 2016 Republican primary field.
The Pew Research Center poll, released Friday, shows Trump with 25% support from likely Republican voters nationwide. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson grabbed 16% support, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina got 8% each and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz garnered 6% support.
Meanwhile, Jeb Bush -- at one time the front-runner in national polls himself -- garnered 4% support.

(1,415 posts)I think Trump now has a good a shot as any as becoming the nominee... Jeb is probably done.. i could be wrong.. but every time the establishment of the GOP says Trump is done.. he only gets stronger... I think the GOP is in full panic mode.. they could lost congress with Trump at the top of the ticket IMO

(17,064 posts)...as long as he has a war chest. Most of those leading him will run out of money before Super Tuesday. Jeb has the $ to stay in for the long haul, he may simply outlast the others, as rMoney did.

(4,759 posts)In the end it will come down to a battle between Bush and Trump and Bush will prevail. The big banks, big oil and Wall Street will pull Bush across the finish line.
