There is a river of rain coming in from the ocean over NE SC. It is a huge area around this line.
This state is washing away for real.

Just from the pictures I can tell this is MUCH worse. I have to make a few calls to check on some friends.

6. Stay safe! I have an aunt and uncle who live in the Lake Murray area and my mother lives

on the border of SC/NC. Upstate didn't get near the rain the midlands got. I'm seeing pictures on Twitter of furniture floating in houses.

7. Well, they may be evacuating at some point.

The water is rising rapidly. The problem is that places are flooding that never have before. So they get people out and they're in trouble again or somebody else unexpectedly is.

with severe damage expected. And there will be another 24hours of rain. Many records have fallen including most rainfall in 24 hours.
