The redneck Sheriff who refuses to say the shooters is playing along with trying to down play the event. He wants the things that might help gun legislation stopped, like less coverage. He wants to try and control the media. The longer this stays in the news, the better likelihood the gun control issue will diminish rapidly.
Well mister red neck sheriff, lets just not talk about any of it, is that what you want. Red neck sheriff, you make sick.
BTW the author of the study that claimed the names made martyrs of the shooter lives in ARIZONA, the most radical right wing state in the union.

(2,535 posts)I site the article of the study cited by the Sheriff, the one they refuse to tell the rest of the findings of the study. The Sheriff is the one that wants to play loose with the facts............
On average, mass killings involving firearms occur approximately every two weeks in the U.S., and school shootings occur on average monthly. The team found that the incidence of these tragedies is significantly higher in states with a high prevalence of firearm ownership.
We need to keep this in the spotlight so we can make the people sick of the killing....
An let me ask you this.... If there would be copycats, does that mean they would NOT do something AFTER the 13 days described as the most copy cats. How many will actually change their behavior a year from now. Most are ticking time bombs

(60,010 posts)In an email, the FBI stated, "Out of an abundance of caution, the FBI Philadelphia Field Office notified local colleges and universities
of a social media posting which threatened violence at a Philadelphia-area college or university for Monday, October 5.
No specific college or university was identified in the posting. We encourage students, faculty, and employees at area colleges and universities to follow the guidance of their campus security officials. The FBI will continue to work with our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to investigate threats of violence, and, as always, we ask the public to report suspicious activity to law enforcement."
