On CBS Sunday Morning. Oh, and the threats are not only from little Leftists but from Al Qaeda. Oh, his father made the big moohlah building stuff for STALIN. And Charlie's political cash is NOT "dark money" because all his cash is declared, but most of the donors to his various political venues need the protection of Dark Money because they don't want to have his lifestyle of living with threats. And he quotes President TRUMAN about the heat and the kitchen. And he doesn't mind being a martyr because he prefers "to die for something rather than live for nothing." AWwww, what a sweet dude!1

(23,946 posts)Will CBS join CNN and launch into wall to wall coverage of the Koch's even as all the sweet, sweet Koch Kash starts flowing in torrents in 2016 into CBS's advertising division?
This corporate media interview, too, is a result of Citizen's United, the fusion of corporation and media into one corrupt construct united by greed.

(24,761 posts)If he stands against special interests like he claims, why does he demand preferential treatment?

(36,262 posts)Charles is the one who's most obsessed with remaking the country according to his "principles". If not for him, we probably wouldn't have any idea who the Koch brothers are -- and it wouldn't really matter.

(20,176 posts)I guess they're trying to remake that public image of theirs that currently projects them as a malevolent omnipotent corporate Leviathan somewhere in line with the corporate fascists of the dystopian future on Continuum and Shinra from FFVII.

(70,686 posts)guilty about my *not* donating (I can only do what I can do). By the bye, their charity (like whomever's) won't save them.

(34,108 posts)the bill of goods like Kansas has been for 30 or so years. He comes and sits in the State house to influence the votes. Oh, and the stuff with the speaker of the House? Been there, done that. Good luck. Fight with all you have, you at least have been forewarned about this guy for years.

(34,108 posts)but this kind of treatment needs to be countered in a very aggressive manner. You would be stunned how easy it is for some people to buy this crap, on all sides. Just saying. Actually just saying look at my state. We had no warning what was going on so we are what it looks like when they get their wedge in. Other states are getting just as bad.
I know DUERS don't buy it but I do feel somewhat obligated to mention this. Living in a state controlled by these monsters is not good and for the rest of my life my state will be in bad shape because of them. Sorry, I DO get a little emotional about this.

(70,686 posts)And yeah, despite the years of seeing it I still can't believe how all manner of wingnut crap is swallowed whole by so many. As I said earlier, I feel the yuck when all their charitable donations are noted, compared to my miniscule droplet.
