Two Shot, Gunman At Large On Syracuse University Campus

Syracuse University Police issued an alert Wednesday night and told people to stay indoors after two shooting incidents were reported on the campus.

The police alert issued around 8:30 p.m. tells everyone on campus to “shelter in place.”

People were also warned to avoid Oakwood Cemetery, which is located south of the campus.

Accordingto eye witnesses in the area, helicopters and police sirens can be heard in the area.

6. The shooting was off campus. The police called the school and threw down a Shelter In Place, JIC.

The shooting itself took place several blocks away from the school. One dead, suspected gang-related.

Hate to say it, but I think there's going to be more of these things - at colleges, theaters, any place where there are large numbers of people. That's what these sick people want - to hurt a lot of people.
