Greene Co. mayor to vote ‘no’ on Confederate flag resolution (TN)

GREENE COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Greene County commissioners are set to vote tonight on a pending resolution to display the Confederate flag along with the American flag at the courthouse as a “historic exhibit.”

Ahead of tonight’s vote, Greene County Mayor David Crum issued a news release Monday afternoon saying that he intends to vote no on the resolution.

“As Mayor of Greene County I think it is important for the citizens to know that my vote on resolution “A” to fly the Confederate flag at the Greene County courthouse is “No,” Crum said. “I have not publicly expressed my opinion prior to today so as not to influence any Commissioners vote” ...
