This has reached the point where it is like being in the dentist chair.

The dentist is drilling. You hear the sound roaring in your ears. You keep hoping the anesthetic won't stop. Then the dentist stops drilling.

For a moment.

And then it starts again.

You grip the arms of the chair.

You HOPE the anesthetic holds.

You HOPE.

Please let it end.

Huh?

Can I feel it?

Is it wearing off?

of having a dentist who thought he could do a root canal without anesthesia.

Is there any wonder that I avoid dentists until it becomes beyond necessary?
