One of my daughters last night was privileged to see Sandra Fluke give a speech at her university. She sat in the front row, less than 2 feet from Fluke.

She wanted her autograph but the only thing she had on her was a copy of The Satanic Verses so Fluke signed that, asking her to not sell it on EBay or anything.

It will be quite the family treasure.

a Dr. Igarashi, was murdered in his office at Tsukuba University by a suspect who fled Japan before he could be apprehended.
That was back in 1991.

The article is wrong about there not being any suspects, though-- there was an Iranian suspect, but he fled Japan and could not be extradited because of the lack of an extradition treaty between Japan and Iran.
