They need to be able to pay enough to attract the brightest and best, so they can fire at least some of the incompetent people currently working for them.
My local mail carrier is struggling to put people's mail in the right box (so now everyone thinks I moved with no forwarding address), and the clerk at the local branch has a habit of losing community mailbox work orders, so you have to wait weeks until you get sick of waiting and drive to the main branch when you move in or lose your key.
It's getting old.

(7,290 posts)For the small bit of shipping I do, I use FedEx, and all of my bills are on-line, so my mail consists of 99% junk.
And yes, I have complained, but nothing is done, so I don't use USPS unless there is no other viable choice.
