She is very much pro-ballistic missile defense, but when your state is within missile range of North Korea that's not an unreasonable position.

Quite a backstory on that one. I learned about it in an apolitical context and have never brought it up here but it is pretty fucked up and I don't think many people outside Hawaii know much about her and her family.

Second, she was good. She did not try to repeat anyone's talking points. She expressed what she believed and was quite articulate.
