Can't let this crisis go to waste. We just have to make sure that the ire is directed at the politically appropriate and useful target.

When there are calls for war against the perps and there's a hankering to fight IS and ramp up the effort, it's really bad for this to turn out to be AQ in Yemen. Or even worse, some group elsewhere.

Only a matter of time now that France has followed suit with Hungary.

No indication of its being retaliation as yet. Lots of confusing and conflicting stories, but these look reliable:

Calais Action

We have been hearing a lot of reports out of Calais about a fire, and just want to put your minds at ease: our sources indicate that there was a small fire that got out of hand, it appears to have destroyed around 40 homes but no-one was injured.

We will of course keep our eyes on the ground for any developments.

@CazTravels @BBCBreaking Yes, BBC, there is a fire in the Calais jungle. Hot on my face. Sudanese section decimated

Caroline Gregory is a journalist and volunteer at the Calais Jungle camp.

Other reports now say the fire's been extinguished. About 40 homes lost, though.

France has never done a good job integrating their immigrants in a way that allows the immigrants to both keep their heritage and get into French society. Instead the immigrants are largely politically, economically and socially isolated.

it was our interference with Iran in the first place, if
not earlier to start the resentment in the ME countries
against us.

And can you tell me what we are doing to take in
all the refugees from the ME?

They've had a high muslim population for a long time. It's above 10% now. And the problem is that they haven't really integrated into society. The unemployment rate of muslim immigrants in France is above 50%. There is a lot more racism then what is on the surface, also. Many of these people are in poverty and live in slums. And its really not hard for radicals or terrorists to recruit in these places. This isn't only an external problem, but one that is internal as well. France has some serious social issues going on with this. And it's been building up for awhile.
