Planned Parenthood Right-Wing Christian Terrorist believed he'd be 'forgiven' for anything.

According to his 2nd ex-wife Robert Luis Dear, the accused Colorado Planned Parenthood murderer, was a violently abusive extreme right-wing neo-Christian anti-abortion zealot end-timer who after committing an act of rape believed every thing vile he did would ultimately be “forgiven” by God.

According to the Charleston Post and Courier, Dear was arrested in 1992 for the rape of a woman he accosted at her job at a Charleston mall. When she declined his advances, he stalked her to her home and reportedly raped her at knife-point.

In divorce documents from 1993, one of Dear’s three ex-wives described the killer as controlling, abusive and serially unfaithful. He routinely gambled away the family’s money, she said, but was ever reluctant to provide for his wife and children financially.

Hot-tempered and unstable, he “erupts into fury in a matter of seconds,” said Dear’s second wife Barbara Mescher to attorneys. In her time with Dear, she testified, she continually “lived in fear and dread of his emotional and physical abuse.”

“He claims to be a Christian and is extremely evangelistic, but does not follow the Bible in his actions,” Mescher said. “He says that as long as he believes he will be saved, he can do whatever he pleases. He is obsessed with the world coming to an end.”

People can of course believe what ever they like to believe, at least up until the point where they start using those beliefs as a justification for rape, mass murder and terrorism. Still somehow I think this guy missed the part about “Go and sin no more”.

This is a Protestant thing, Calvin pretty much originated it, I believe. Naturally most denominations do not go quite that far. It is quite popular among Fundamentalists, however. It would be interesting to know if he was affiliated with any particular church (Oh please let it be Ted Cruz's daddy's) or whether he is a self taught theologian.

Catholics on the other hand believe that repentance and confession and sinning no more are the key to salvation. They do have their own get out of hell cards though--but they don't come cheap. They're called indulgences. The idea is that good works can save you hence the drug lords and Mafia dons who make major donations to the Church in the hope of salvation. This of course is quite popular in certain sectors of the Catholic church especially in Italy. I believe that the current Pope put many noses out of joint when he publicly condemned this practice. I guess being Argentine he doesn't understand the local culture.
