Hikers Flip Out As Obama Climbs Up Grueling Hawaii TrailEven on vacation, POTUS puts in work.
Some people vacation in Hawaii to sip Mai Tais on the beach and indulge in well-deserved R&R. But not POTUS.
When he visits the Aloha State, he puts in work.
On Tuesday, after the president's early morning gym session, President Barack Obama, his family and a few friends took on the Koko Head Crater Stairs -- a popular Hawaii hike that is so grueling, people often refer to it as the "Stairmaster from Hell" or the "Koko Head Stairs of Doom."
Unsuspecting hikers had to move to the side of the trail's narrow path as a sweaty Obama and his security entourage barreled up the trail's 1,048 wooden steps, which climb a steep 1,208 feet up the crater's ridge.
But the hikers didn't seem to mind the delay.

Give the Clintons and Carters credit. Their children knew how to behave in public. Presidents cannot control embarrassing siblings or other adult relatives (remember Billy Beer?), but they do bear some responsibility for how their kids behave.

Some people, locals mostly, go there every morning and climb it. Your reward is the view.

(10,098 posts)He says something that I can't quite catch when she asked how long it has taken him and she says "That's a lie!" haha. I'm going to miss him so much too. I hope I can one day meet him, or at least see him in person.

(4,766 posts)I would like to see Trump attempt this climb. According to his doctor, If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.
Trump looks like he couldn't even climb a flight of stairs.

(10,751 posts)I do love the First Family, each and every one of them. In fact if I had my way, Michelle Obama would be running for President. I think she is my very favorite First Lady.
