Ew, just ew: ‘Family values’ Republican: Men should be allowed to grab breastfeeding women’s nipples

A self-described “pro-family” conservative said on Facebook he should be allowed to grab the nipples of breastfeeding mothers if a law banning women exposing breasts in public didn’t pass. New Hampshire state Rep. Josh Moore (R) deleted the comment, but it was archived and posted by Slate.

The comment was made in a squabble over proposed legislation that would make it a crime for women to expose their nipples in public. Currently in New Hampshire, both men and women are free to go topless, reports Slate. A bill sponsored solely by Republican men would change that, if it becomes law. A woman could be charged with a misdemeanor if she “purposely exposes the areola or nipple of her breast or breasts in a public place and in the presence of another person with reckless disregard for whether a reasonable person would be offended or alarmed by such act.”

New Hampshire State Rep. Amanda Bouldin (D) took to Facebook to criticize the bill and call out her male, Republican “small government” colleagues. That’s when things got awkward. Here is Moore’s response, including typos and errors.

“Who doesn’t support a mothers right to feed?” Moore responded. “Don’t give me the liberal talking points Amanda. If it’s a woman’s natural inclination to pull her nipple out in public and you support that, than you should have no problem with a mans [inclination] to stare at it and grab it. After all, it’s ALL relative and natural, right?”

If that wasn’t bad enough, Moore’s fellow Republican, State Rep. Al Baldasaro, chimed in to further harass Bouldin.

“Amanada, No disrespect, but your nipple would be the last one I would want to see,” Baldasaro said. “You want to turn our family beach’s into a pervert show. Liberterians want a nude beach, put your money together and buy one, if you want to expose you kids to nudity, go for it. Some of us liberty minded Reps do beleive in family values.” (misspellings his too)

Constituents criticized the law, and also the responses of Moore and Baldasaro.

“I have no words,” one woman wrote. “Unbelievable and discriminatory to women and babies … I’d be proud to be on the sex offenders list for breastfeeding in public and I’d rake the courts through the mud on national television!”

I swear, the Republican party is nothing but bigots and/or perverts...probably both. You can't get much more vile than this cretin.

Lots of door knocking tomorrow! The Brown, Guinta and Walt campaigns are teaming up with each other and the Merrimack state rep candidates to blitz Merrimack! We are going to win this state and country back!

Lily Marlaina Gaboriault: You are one sick, and twisted idiot!!! How in hell did YOU get elected???!! Let me tell you, touch or grab one of MY breasts and you will be pulling my foot out of your crotch, SURGICALLY!!! Sick jerk!!! I hope the people of New Hampshire wake up and see the real you and haul you out of office!!!!( I know they MUST be ASHAMED!)

JOSH MOORE: Dropped literature off at over 500 homes yesterday. Busy, busy. All the hard work is going to pay off on Tuesday!

Dave Knight: 500 homes, out of those, how many contained women that you sexually assaulted? Sounds like a family values pussyfest!

Ashley Floyd: Here you are, you backwards, sexist fucking pig. You make me sick. Do you realize the rest of the world hears what you say? Being on the same coast is too close. EDITED FOR MORE:

Franka Smith: I feel sorry for the poor people, especially women who you say you will sexually assault if they breastfeed. If you can't keep your hands off women and think that women should be punished for breastfeeding by you attacking them, you are a disgusting pervert and should be behind bars, not representing anyone

I didn't give a flying fuck what anyone thought if I was nursing my baby in public. Lucky me, no one ever complained or tried to get me to go off to some dirty restroom. Not that I'd have done that. But if you're offended by the sight of a mother and baby doing what's natural, then DON'T LOOK. What's so hard about that?

Oh, I keep forgetting. Republican men think they should have the final say in each and every thing any woman ever does.

I never had a problem, maybe a look or two before I was able to get the baby to breast because he was crying but that was all. Women would usually walk by and smile or engage me in a short, sweet conversation. Men just avoided making eye contact and I really don't remember any of them even staring at me when I looked up. Apparently they used to be able to deal with this and control themselves.

So if you are feeding you baby and a man grabs your nipple it is your fault because he can't adult well enough to resist this puerile, childish behavior and you get put on the sex offenders list? It might become illegal to feed your baby in the natural and best way for the baby because the men can't look away or just walk by?

So we all have to stop doing natural things because men can't handle it?

I would say something clever and a bit insulting about a state that would elect a guy like this but I live in Kansas. If one of ours reads this or thinks about it I guarantee it will pass without much ado, there are not enough Democrats to even make a squeak.

excluded in the law.

From Slate:
http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2015/12/30/new_hampshire_topless_bill_amanda_bouldin_harassed_by_sexists.html

A recently proposed bill, sponsored exclusively by Republican men, would make it illegal for a woman to “purposely expos[e] the areola or nipple of her breast or breasts in a public place.” (The bill makes an exception for breastfeeding.) Men would still be permitted to expose their nipples in public with impunity.

The Raw Story author is either dishonest, can't read or it's clickbait.
