This may have been on Hartman's show. Possibly Wayne Bessen (who's on after Hartman in Chicago).

(16,867 posts)but I agree with the statement. I don't think people other than cops should be carrying loaded guns around in public. I wasn't brought up that way, and I think it's wrong. It tells the kids that this behavior is normal when they see it, and that makes me sick. Own what you like, but keep it at home. If you're going somewhere that you think a gun might come in handy, maybe you should re-think going to that place. And if you're so scared that you think you need a gun everywhere you go, it might be time to seek counseling.
