3. I would say that...

Jan 2016

...someone who wants the federal government out of their life, except when the federal government will provide them with protection from debtors, and then goes and seizes federal property, easily qualifies for the title.

8. I would also say this

Hey, I once had a tax lien because, put simply, I fucked up. I paid it off when things got better - with interest. Among the things I learned is to pay a professional to manage the taxes for my business and not try to do it myself. Lesson learned - I'm not an accountant.

And, no, you won't hear me fuming about the IRS or taxes generally. I'm proud to pay every penny I owe, because I do consider it a privilege to be an American. Freedom isn't free, but you'd never guess that from the tax whiners.

Certainly the bankruptcy laws are there for a reason, and provide a second start for people who got into a bad situation.

Shit does indeed happen.

But I kinda believe that, having had the benefit of that, I wouldn't hold myself out as a paragon of rugged self reliance with a beef against "interference" of the federal government in my life either.

That strikes me as a peculiar sort of hypocrisy.

5. He wouldn't be bankrupt if the federal government didn't force him to pay for what he takes!

[hr][font color="blue"][center]Birds are territorial creatures.
The lyrics to the songbird's melodious trill go something like this:
"Stay out of my territory or I'll PECK YOUR GODDAMNED EYES OUT!"

out there trashing our public lands and refusing to pay your due... if you haven't got a big enough yard for your animals, maybe you don't need to have so many animals. Letting them trash and crap all over someone else's yard and not paying for the privilege or obeying the rule of the property owner is just horsesh*t.

Regardless of whatever your belief system or religion tells you, your rights are contingent upon whether you agree to abide by the Constitution... the real version not the one they have posted at church or yer buddy's blog, you have the option of agreeing to and abiding by the rules or not. There are rewards for abiding and consequences for deciding otherwise. If you don't like it, leave, ever heard that one before? The only ones who consider you the "chosen ones" are you... the rest of us aren't with you on that. So it's time to put your toys down, pull up your big boy pants and go to jail where you have proven that you belong... or maybe you can go to some sinking atoll out in the Pacific .

Tell you what...

Go post on Freepland about a guy named "Lavoy" who has eleven children and depends on government support and see what they think of subsidizing his lifestyle.

I live out here where some of these idiots also live, I've had my fill of harassment and threats.

That Lavoy dude probably has more than one baby-mommy and at least one has probably paid for them while on welfare because they probably aren't married in the eyes of the state...

I'm sure he had more than just cheap grazing subsidies going on there.

13. When court records start showing up in controversial cases like this, I become highly suspicious.
Wed Jan 6, 2016, 07:26 PM
Jan 2016

That's typically the case of a narrative being pushed forward, and darned if I don't have this testy habit of not swallowing the narrative. IOW, this makes me very suspicious that something is being covered up here. If it weren't, this kind of thing wouldn't be going around. There would be no need to 'prove' how 'deadbeat' and 'terrible' these people were; it would be obvious.

Edit: It's possible I'm wrong of course, and I'd be quite happy if I were. But knowing that the media has covered up even once is sufficient to know it can and likely will happen again. Only a fool would trust them just because it was repeated on a couple outlets.

14. Could you elaborate?
Wed Jan 6, 2016, 08:07 PM
Jan 2016

Out of idle curiosity, I logged into PACER and searched their names.

Please tell me where I can pick up my "narrative pushing" check.

I didn't get this information from any media outlet, I got it from the docket of the AZ bankruptcy court.

So, wait wait, don't tell me... The court docket itself is fake, is that what you are trying to say?

15. You left that last line out of the email you sent me. Any reason?
Wed Jan 6, 2016, 10:42 PM

Was there literally anything in the entire post that suggested I thought it was fake? I'd like to know if so, because I'm pretty sure I never insinuated that.

At either rate no. I wasn't aware this was you pulling from a public resource, so I was wrong (a possibility I mentioned in my edit, and specifically noted I hoped for).

I (rather obviously) was under the impression this was being released as 'leaks', the type which typically show up during stories that have a national 'need' for a consistently-believed story. I will work under the friendly assumption you're aware of this. Since I didn't have a listed source, it was a natural conclusion to move to the position that leaves me least vulnerable to manipulation - research.

Now, if THAT needs further elaboration, I'm afraid you're on your own. Have a pleasant evening.
