This action makes it clear they are opening up the sanctuary to ranchers. I wonder what other fences they are going to take down. Plus it sounds like they are demanding that the jailed ranchers be released also. It looks like this occupation is more of a complete takeover. Maybe they will set up a permanent site and develop it.

Here's my suggestion. A group of predominantly black bird watchers must set up a camp nearby, armed only with binoculars, cameras and note pads. They should go about their bird watching business, staying away from the crazies. Guaranteed there will be hundreds of law enforcement officers on site within 12 hours and the news media will follow. I realize this is a risk for the bird watchers and I apologize. We just have to hope the cops won't shoot them without asking questions first.
