My oldest son bought a truck before heading to grad school.

It's a Ford F-150, and he and his little brother got together, and just before he left, they told me it would be named "Fump". I asked them why, and they said it was a polite way of saying "Truck Fump".
I love my boys.

Awesome.

Having done elder care in the high end enclaves of SF Bay area, I have driven everything from top of the line Land Rover SUV's to new Caddies and new Mercedes to Lincoln Continentals.

And then last year, my household had to rent a vehicle. The only one left on the lot was a Ford 150. It handled like magic, and was very easy to deal with.

Great suspension, and it's mileage wasn't bad either, considering it was a truck.

I liked it better than all of the other cars I have driven, with possible exception being the Lincoln Continental that had butt warmers.

I hope your son's university experience is just as awesome.

He needs to upgrade to the 4x4, but other than that, it's an outstanding all-purpose pick-up.
