Booted to kiddie debate, Rand Paul decides to re-embrace Alex Jones (after downplaying ties to him)

Booted from the main debate to the kids table, Baby Ron Paul is getting desperate and goes running back to his 9-11 troofer, Sandy Hook troofer, birther, racist tinfoil hat nutcase pal for help:
----

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul appeared on the program of leading conspiracy theorist Alex Jones to ask viewers to "call the Republican National Committee" and tell them "it's not fair to exclude me from the debate."

Fox Business announced earlier this week that Paul would not be included in January 14's main Republican primary debate. Paul accused "the establishment in the Republican Party" for being responsible for his exclusion.

During a January 13 interview with Paul, Jones asked what his fans could do "to get you in that debate." Paul responded by asking Jones' audience "to call the Republican National Committee and tell Reince Priebus that they need to allow all voices to be heard in the debate and that it's not fair to exclude me from the debate." Paul also promoted his campaign website and Facebook account if "people want to make phone calls for us ... if people want to donate ... if people want to fly up to Iowa or New Hampshire."

This comes less than a year after Rand tried to pretend he wasn't really friends with Tubby Alex:
Bloomberg Politics' David Weigel reported that when "asked whether he regretted talking to Jones, Paul demurred," stating: "I've been pretty open to doing a lot of interviews with a lot of different people ... And people want to characterize one or two of them, whether they're on the right or left, you know, they're welcome to do it. But I've been pretty open to doing interviews and it's one way to get the information out."

and less than a week after Jones told his audience that the U.S. is likely controlled by a secret society of alien lizard people:
Jones told Icke that while he doesn’t yet buy this theory, he suspects it is right and that it doesn’t matter either way since, whether or not they are space lizards, the shadowy figures who are running the world have the same nefarious, anti-human end game. Jones also referenced the book “Childhood’s End,” in which alien “Overlords” take over the earth.

It's easy to laugh at Jones as a nut, but he's truly dangerous. Never forget that his stupid theories have led to the harassment of survivors of tragedies like Sandy Hook:
A good Samaritan who harbored six terrified survivors of the Sandy Hook massacre has been singled out by conspiracy theorists accusing him of being a liar and an actor.

On the morning of the shooting, Gene Rosen of Newtown, Conn., was feeding his cats when he discovered six terrified children hiding out in his driveway. They told him their teacher was dead, and he listened to their chilling account of the tragedy still going on at the nearby Sandy Hook Elementary School.

In the aftermath, Rosen, 69, was interviewed by many of the media outlets that descended on the small community, and his anguished face flashed across television screens around the world.

The sincerity of that anguish was questioned by a group of conspiracy theorists who call themselves "truthers," Salon reported earlier this month. These truthers have so far posted Rosen's personal information online, created fake social media accounts using his name and harassed him via email and phone.

This is what Rand, Drudge and Trump embrace when they do Jones' show and kiss his ass.

And, of course, the "lib'rul media" will give them a pass. Questioning "radical associates" and giving the Jeremiah Wright treatment is only something they do to Democrats.
