1) Both Hillary and Bernie are so much better then any of the republicans
it isn't funny. Do you know that repugs want to shut down the post office
and public schools and turn those jobs and monies over to private businesses?
Before i could turn it off I just heard from Rubio that ISIS wants to take over
the White House and he bought a gun on Xmas eve to protect his family from ISIS.
R you f***ing serious? And why isn't the CBS host calling him out for such
crazy ass talk?
b) The world's deal w/Iran is a very good thing, we get Americans to come
home to their families and friends, and some in the right now have a big case of
"butt hurt" because we have avoided a war.
iii) John Kerry is one of the best Sec. of State we have ever had. Back story
a few years ago John Kerry knew he was going to meet Iran's Foreign Minster
and he knew that the Foreign Minister was interested in architecture and so he
went and got a book on Fredrick Law Olmsted (central park) and gave it to the
Minister when they met. A few days later John got a note thanking him for the
book and BTW would he like to get together and talk ...... Kerry said he thought
it would be a good idea.
p.s. The perfect breakfast food = muffaletta from last night's party.

(58,785 posts)from the more serious effects of a world recession, if one occurs. China's difficulties cannot bring us down with it; we export relatively little to China and our economy otherwise has relatively little interdependence with China's.
Oil and gas account for only around 2.5%, or whatever the latest figures are, of our GDP. They are significant exports and production is a jobs producer, but drops in prices are cutting into energy profits, not disastrous for the economy. Unlike nations like Russia and oil producers in the Middle East that depend to a very large degree on revenue from oil exports -- they're in trouble.
5. I just went looking for muffaletta recipes thanks to you and a sudden craving, Botony.

I've gotten some really good recipes there. Guests actually complimented some shrimp we'd grilled only to pad out dinner for more than expected, even discussed who'd get the last of them. What we served them with no time to go shopping for better was some mushy frozen shrimp with little flavor -- after a little magic with that salt, sugar and baking soda treatment.
Oh. Go, Democrats!
