War mongers in the GOP are acting similar to the Iranian "clerics"...

...both of them are always fomenting dissent in hopes of destroying any type of diplomatic peace agreements. There are decent leaders in Iran who can be negotiated with. But the clerics are igniting the population to hate the US...and the GOP is doing the same thing in reverse here.

I suspect the people of Iran are probably harder to convince that we are an 'evil empire' than our citizens are.

There is far too much trust in the RW propaganda machine that is most of the M$M.

I remember that Bush and Ahmadinejad would each other's statements and actions to show how 'evil' the other side was and to whip up support on the right for 'our team'.

The idea of finding common ground and working out realistic compromises through negotiation to resolve issues seems foreign to most conservatives who want it 100% their way or nothing.
