John Wayne was a raging racist. His daughter says he'd be 'standing right here' with Trump

That's the headline at KOS for their reporting on this article: http://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-john-wayne-daughter-2016-1

A wax statue of John Wayne watches as Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump kisses John Wayne's daughter, Aissa, during a news conference.

The daughter of the famous Western movie star said that if John Wayne were still alive, he'd be endorsing Trump's campaign, too. Aissa Wayne directly compared Trump's attributes to her father's.

"The reason that I'm here to support Mr. Trump is because America needs help," she said. "And we need a strong leader. And we need someone like Mr. Trump with leadership qualities, somebody with courage, someone that's strong like John Wayne."

She added: "If John Wayne were around, he'd be standing right here instead of me."

Trump said he was a "longtime fan" of John Wayne.

"We love John Wayne," the candidate said after he finished taking reporters' questions. "We love John Wayne and we love his family equally, right? Equally."

One thing that's good about The Donald, he is the best Racist Detector I've seen in a long time. People who like this guy? They're racists. Assholes, too!

I believe in white supremacy, until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don’t believe giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people … I don’t feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from (the Native Americans) … Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.
(From the kos article in the OP). So, that fits nicely with the tRump campaign.

Imagine if she was Consuela the anonymous seamstress or domestic in the same position...do you think she'd be outta jail YET?

Dobbs' wife didn't know she was packing heat
Ever gotten busted for having a nail file in your carry-on bag? Don't feel bad. Lou Dobbs' wife Debi says she was unaware she was carrying an unlicensed, loaded, .25 caliber semiautomatic pistol in her purse when she arrived at the Newark airport Wednesday. Dobbs was scheduled to take a flight to Florida with her twin daughters to meet up with her husband, host of CNN's "Moneyline." On Don Imus's radio talk show yesterday, Lou Dobbs explained that she had the gun in her purse from a trip to Vermont last fall and had forgotten about it. Dobbs said that while his wife doesn't have a license to carry a gun, she needs it for security reasons at the family's isolated horse farm in Sussex, N.J. After being fingerprinted and photographed by Port Authority Police, Debi Dobbs was released without bail (and without the gun) to take a later flight to Florida. After her return, Mrs. Dobbs will face arraignment in a Newark court. Lou Dobbs joked about the incident with Imus, saying that a husband is unlikely to stray "when you do have a wife who knows how to use a handgun."

Of course he also chose to play Genghiz Kahn for Howard Hughes.

So his judgement was pretty bad.

90 or so of the 200+ actors and crew of that flick acquired cancer later in life, some very rare. There are those who attribute filming so close to an A-bomb testing site as the blame.

contributes to the mass culture dumb-down of our society....The brain-washed masses live out their frustrations through film rather than take to the streets in civic action. Further the John Wayne mass culture industry contributes to the false notion of regeneration through violence...and the 'export of democracy' at the expense of people of color.

they often remind me of my dad. But Wayne, he was a pretty good actor. He could hide his racist, egotist ways behind a good character. What I liked was the character, written by good writers for the movies.

He sounds the same in every film. It's as though he has one character, one note, and he manages to deliver that one persona every damn time.

The best actors are the ones where you say "THAT was so-and-so?" when the credits roll, who with voice, inflection, and the way they move, they can transform themselves into another person entirely.

How anyone can make this leap of logic that his roles were real-life portrayals is a testimonial to how stupid some people are.

So much for this stereotype on how Hollywood is dominated by liberals. I can name 8 or 10 Hollywood actors who have held or currently hold political offices as Republicans. I can't think of that many actors holding liberal political seats.

Have you noticed that the Hollywood conservatives are largely one-trick ponies? The only roles they can play are people who shoot 'em up, beat 'em up and blow 'em up. They show no diversity in their acting careers.
