Michigan Gov. Snyder on Flint: ‘Terrible decisions’ were made

http://news.yahoo.com/flint-water-crisis-the-work-of-career-civil-service-people-who-didnt-use-common-sense-says-gov-rick-snyder-141828022.html#

Embattled Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder said Friday he takes responsibility for the Flint water crisis, but shouldered the blame on “career civil service people” who didn’t use common sense....

Appearing live on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Snyder said decision-makers at the state’s Department of Environmental Quality “were not being given the right information by the quote-unquote experts.”

“What is so frustrating and makes you so angry about this situation is you have a handful of quote-unquote experts that were career civil service people that made terrible decisions, in my view,” Snyder said....

“These are career civil servants. They had strong science, medical backgrounds in terms of their research. But as a practical matter, when you look at it today and you look at their conclusions, I wouldn’t call them experts anymore.”

None of this behavior, on his part, comes as a surprise. He's a sociopath.

that wasn't a terrible decision. That was criminal behavior indicating the consistent character of Republicans in office, who campaign saying government is evil and then prove it.

Also, it was gross negligence, not a mistake or series of mistakes.

One problem is that civil service is too politicized.

There is no excuse for what has happened in Flint.

It's the scientists' fault for not giving his cronies the right information?!?!
I'll give him credit for sheer chutzpah, but for leadership, he's a zero.

do you really think people can't figure out what you are saying? You can't say you take full responsibility and then blame others in another paragraph or so...
