He's rich. He's bored. He's lonely.

He's narcissistic.

One thing he can do well is get his name in M$M ( It's his peer group, after all) . Always seems to be on the topic of a third party "draft" for something or other.

There's always the implication that some substantial element of the population is clamoring for him to run.

Believe me. We've been through this before here. No one here.... or ALMOST no one..... wants him to run for president.

Or for anything else, for that matter.

His take seems to be that he'll only enter if, not my words, but my impression of his intent, extremists are on both tickets.

Bernie + Trump = Bloomberg runs
Bernie + Cruz = Bloomberg runs
Bernie + any other Republican = Bloomberg doesn't run
Hillary + any Republican = Bloomberg doesn't run

His aide didn't say he would run if Bernie were nominated, he said he would run if Trump or Cruz AND Bernie were nominated. Based on that, it seems that would root for the Republican if Bernie were nominated.

I need to just keep my mouth shut for now while I read the mountain of information on his governing actions and proposals. Very informative...Michael Bloomberg

I will cut and past just one segment to the very lengthy description startine about 1/4 to 1/3 down the page to "INITIATIVES"

Transportation

Bloomberg stated that he rides the New York City Subway on a daily basis, particularly in the commute from his home to his office at City Hall. An August 2007 story in The New York Times asserted that he was often seen chauffeured by two New York Police Department-owned SUVs to an express train station to avoid having to change from the local to the express trains on the IRT Lexington Avenue Line.[42] He also supported the construction of the 7 Subway Extension and the Second Avenue Subway; on December 20, 2013, Bloomberg took a ceremonial ride on a train to the new 34th Street station to celebrate a part of his legacy as mayor.[43][44]
Preservation and development

Bloomberg is a proponent of large-scale development. He has repeatedly come down in favor of projects such as the Atlantic Yards mega-development, the Hudson Yards redevelopment, and the Harlem rezoning proposal.[45] On smaller-scale issues, Bloomberg usually takes the side of development as well. He favors the demolition of Admiral's Row[46] in order to build a supermarket parking lot. However, Bloomberg has occasionally come down on the side of preservation, most notably in vetoing landmark revocation for the Austin Nichols warehouse.[47] This move was widely applauded by architectural historians. The City Council overruled the veto shortly thereafter, however.[48]
