"You can't fight city hall" - or so goes the old saying.

But you apparently can foreclose on City Hall - at least in Stockton.

Wells Fargo Bank has once again found success in repossesing a Stockton property after the city skipped bond payments in its attempt to avoid bankruptcy.

A San Joaquin County Superior Court judge gave a summary judgment last Friday that streamlines the process for Wells Fargo to repossess the eight-story Chase Bank building, formerly the Washington Mutual building, at 400 E. Main St. downtown.
