OWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9)- A 28-year-old man has been arrested after authorities say he threw two tomatoes at Donald Trump during a campaign stop Tuesday night.

"Andrew Joseph Alemao, 28, was arrested by University of Iowa Police for Disorderly Conduct after he was observed throwing two tomatoes at Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump during a speech," according to a news release from the University of Iowa.

Alemao was taken into custody by the Secret Service and members of the UI Police Department immediately after throwing the tomatoes at Trump, according to the release.

Are you trying to say that the guy was trying to cook Trump with tomatoes Italian style?

pummeling with tomatoes, which are also called pomodoros (golden apples).

Hence, pomoling.

If you have to explain a joke, it isn't funny.

prior to the 2008 primaries. I believe this has been the rule since George Wallace was shot and paralyzed during the 1972 presidential election.

Any deranged lone actor on a holy mission to stop "communism" could get into one of his events, especially at a restaurant or outdoor area.

Trump and Carson requested it a while ago, that's why they have it.

Sorry, but just because Trump wants to overturn the rule of law doesn't mean he's not protected by the rule of law. Sure, it's a bitter irony to accept, but that's just the cost of being one of the grown-ups that keep America small-d democratic.

Lil' Bush's parade on inauguration day in 2001 was spoiled by people tossing eggs and fruits and vegetables at his motorcade. He had to stay inside the car as too many furious people were tossing shit his way. Impolite? You betchya - and impolite people often deserve an impolite response. Tomatoes for Trumpf, cat turds for Cruz, dead rats for Rubio, and Bananas for Bush would be fitting.
