When Timur the goat was placed in the pen of Siberian tiger Cupid, zookeepers were shocked by the big cat’s reaction.

Timur was originally meant as lunch for the feline, but Cupid shocked his carers by befriending the goat instead of tearing him limb from limb....

One man, however, remained unmoved by the heartwarming story – insisting the duo were in fact breaking the law.

Tiger and Goat have been having altercations, and Goat has been injured and removed from the tiger's cage according to another article I read, but can't locate, that was critical of the exploitation and detailed the injuries the goat sustained.

Apparently the zoo is bummed. They had been drawing huge crowds due to the publicity, and were enjoying record numbers of visitors. Animal torture and exploitation at its finest folks.

14. The humans were torturing the goat by forcing it to live with its natural enemy on

display like a freak show, purely for the 'enjoyment' of humans willing to pay a buck to watch. Barnum & Bailey at it's finest.

Imagine the frightened, dumb goat living in absolute terror for every single second of its life, knowing it's literally going to be a snack at any moment. Think of a kitten being in the middle of a busy highway dodging cars and the amount of fear it's feeling.

I just find the practice of threatening and endangering animals for human amusement to be dispicable. The tiger being held in captivity is bad enough.

That being said, goats are ornery creatures. I'm not surprized the goat escalated the situation and got maimed for it. I suspect he won't live very much longer with his injuries and infections, he's of no use to the 'zoo' now.

They think the tiger became aggressive because of a female in heat nearby. Goat is alive, but on his own now.
