Black Americans For A Better Future is a political action committee for Republicans, by Republicans created to support black members of the party. Raynard Jackson, an African-American political activist, uses the PAC “to counter those liberal organizations that receive an inordinate amount of media attention such as the People for the American Way and the Congressional Black Caucus.”

Apparently the only way Republicans can “counter” black groups is to create other black groups to call them names. Since the Black Americans For A Better Future PAC is obviously for the interests of black people, you would think that black people were involved in the number one purpose for such an organization: Raising money. Unfortunately for the dignity and credibility of the organization, the donorss — all the donors — are exclusively (and predictably) white.

According to New York Magazine:

According to new Federal Election Commission (FEC)filings, the only people who donated to BABF last year (or at all — it was created in 2014) were super, super white. In fact, of the $417,250 in donations the super-pac received, $400,000 was from Robert Mercer, the hedge-fund CEO also known as Ted Cruz’s sugar daddy.

According to the Intercept, BABF exists solely for the benefit of Raynard Jackson, a Republican African-American political consultant based in Washington, D.C. Judging by the super-pac’s expense report,
