If you really want to go there, so be it.

Those seven people are dead. They can't be made alive again. Their passing will be mourned by their immediate families and friends, noted by many others, and NOTHING will be done to end the scourge of gun violence in America as a result of their deaths.

The results of the Presidential race, on the other hand, will have profound effects on the lives of every single American, as well as many people overseas. Will we get a candidate who takes climate change seriously? Will we get one who initiates MORE wars, MORE drone strikes on people around the world?

Swiftboating attacks on one of the two candidates by the other candidate using racially inflammatory lies out of the mouths of 'iconic' civil liberties activists can have a profound effect on who wins the nomination, so challenging them quickly and debunking them and spreading that debunking widely and quickly is vital to the course of the election cycle, ad thus to determining who will be the President who decides whether we as a nation prioritize killing foreigners or working to mitigate the damage climate change is doing to the world.

Police say the suspect was arrested at about 12:40 a.m. at Ransom and Porter streets in Kalamazoo. According to Michigan State Police, the suspect is a 45-year-old white man from Kalamazoo. Police said weapons were found in his vehicle.

"These are random murders," Matyas said. “This is your worst case scenario."

You have to go through the ATF background check and pay the $200.00 tax stamp, but you can own them, and a rocket launcher is nothing more than a fiberglass tube, which you can buy at any Army/Navy surplus store.

DU has two groups and, IMO, one defacto guns forum in which to post tragedies like this. If you can't pump up a discussion via these outlets, then I don't know what to suggest.

Over the years, the best way to get a flood of gun-talk is through:

1). A mass murder (usually in a school)

2). Murders committed through using Gunz™. (Other methodologies need not apply.)

Little is mentioned of other mass killings, esp. If the victims/killers are minority. But you will have to discuss these "priorities" with the banners. Good luck with that, as you wll have to penetrate layers of Narrative and character insult.

Please note that last year I broached discussion of a mass murder in Houston in which nine (9) people died, wondering why it hadn't provoked a sunami of gun-humping, ammosexual stuff, and penis talk; after all, the murderer used a gun. Alas, he and his victims were black, so it was BAU.
