Mark Zuckerberg Asks Racist Facebook Employees to Stop Crossing Out Black Lives Matter Slogans

The Black Lives Matter movement has shed light on the racial profiling, police brutality, and racial inequality experienced by the African-American community across America. But apparently some of the employees at Facebook’s notoriously white, bro-centric Menlo Park, California office don’t agree.

In a private memo posted on a company announcement page for employees only, Mark Zuckerberg acknowledged that employees have been scratching out “black lives matter” (sic) and writing “all lives matter” on the company’s famous signature wall. The company, whose staff is only 2 percent black, is facing the issue head on.

“We’ve never had rules around what people can write on our walls,” said Zuckerberg in the post. “We expect everybody to treat each other with respect.” The entire message, obtained by Gizmodo, is posted in full below:

They have been recently an issue for us, especially with the Disney lawsuits on them, and Trump and Cruz coming across as the "pro-labor" presidential candidates since the media and PTB is only allowing a discussion on the Republican side where there's a more vocal divide between candidates, and Clinton has been completely silent on this and the media, power leadership, etc. seems to be trying to help her stay that way, while Sanders is being pushed in to making his anti-guest worker programs motivated by anti-immigration sentiments the way Trump and Cruz are more readily pushing with their more xenophobic base.

Just yesterday as I noted here, Jesse Jackson visited Intel campuses here in Portland to champion the notion that Intel should be more focused on hiring POC from this country than trying to fill employee ranks with H-1B program employees.

Note how just the last few days Trump goes after Rubio as being the "personal senator" for Mark Zuckerberg in his critique on Rubio's pro H-1B stances.

...
The visa program allows 65,000 highly skilled foreigners annually to take temporary work in the U.S., plus an additional 20,000 immigrants with advanced degrees. Several thousand more visas are awarded to nationals from specific countries, and universities and their contractors are also exempt from the cap. Visa holders may bring in immediate family members and may apply for permanent residence.

Tech industry leaders say the visas fill a shortfall of U.S. tech talent, and they once could rely on Republican support for huge expansions of the program. But the GOP presidential race has upended that.

The opposition to the program is being led by Republican front-runner Donald Trump. On his campaign website, he mocks rival Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida who has supported tripling the number of H-1B visas. Trump calls Rubio the “personal senator” of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz supported expanding the H-1B program in 2013, but as a candidate for the Republican nomination for president, he has reversed course and is calling for the program to be suspended.

The Disney employees involved in the lawsuit over H-1B visas have been endorsing Trump as noted here.

It bothers me a lot that since Trump is being "allowed" to take the lead to speak for displaced workers, and Bernie is being pushed aside when he has similar stances that support both the foreign workers abused by those programs and those losing their jobs due to these programs, that we are perhaps alienating many IT workers in to becoming "Trump Democrats" like we did when Carter lost the election to Reagan too. This issue has been racialized by them, and it shouldn't be. It should be about global worker rights, not just blaming the immigrants for "taking our jobs".

Zuckerberg and many of his tech CEO colleagues who support these exploitive guest worker programs should be aware that perhaps they themselves and their company policies are part of the problem here, and could be what is generating this sort of activity on their employee campuses, especially with this issue becoming more discussed and relevant the last few weeks, with senate testimony just this week on H-1B.

Both Hillary and Bernie should be "allowed" and encouraged to speak up more on this issue, so that once again this party can be a party that is pro-labor rights, and do it in a way that is not xenophobic, so that perhaps this behavior, if it is motivated by Trump's more visible anti-guest worker program campaigning will happen less often, and be more constructive, the way that Jesse Jackson is also appealing it to be this week too.

It's well known that Zuck is not liberal, and that he supports some right wing perspectives. I'm glad that he see's through this "BLM is anti-white" bullshit and is willing to take a stand.

You build a racially corrupt org, full of people who think they shouldn't have to step over the homeless on the way into work, and then are surprised when the people you pay act precisely like who they are.

Good job, Brownie.
