They said you had to have photo ID. i made a big stink about it being discriminatory. Just to irk them and to have everyone in line hear me.
Fiesty mood today
Holder gave it a shot - but failed...

It was distracting, but I carried on anyway.

(42,770 posts)news - but I honestly thought it didn't ever pass. The last meeting I went to - they said the repukes were trying to come up with a program to scan DL names for "hispanic sounding names" since Holder said it could be discriminatory to hispanics and he wanted the state to match that scan to the voter list.
When I heard her call someone to ask, I high-tailed it out so she didn't correct me

(2,493 posts)Would you give someone a hard time about enforcing voting law? That person can't change the law and who knows if he/she even supports it.

(11,238 posts)The people working at the polls are volunteers. Working a 14-hour day. Have some respect next time. Or even better, volunteer so you can get a taste of what it's like.

(42,770 posts)they told me they had enough. There was no Democrat poll judge at my spot. Make a note please - lecturing people on respect and volunteering is just so sanctimonious.

(65,616 posts)They were real strict, far more then ever. Got to talking to a few of the pollsters and they said it was all going to updated voting machines next year.
Was not happy to hear that.
Yeah, that would raise my hackles also.

(42,770 posts)Trump supporters in Texas are complaining that their ballots are being changed to show Rubio at polling sites.
Infowars reported:
People voting for Donald Trump in todays Super Tuesday Texas Primary are seeing their ballots changed to show a vote for Marco Rubio.
Numerous callers flooded Austin-based radio station KLBJ this morning with reports of mistakes after they tried to vote for Trump.
According to KLBJ, computer freezeups and other glitches are causing voting snafus at locations all around Travis County.
Trump supporters previously accused the Rubio campaign of stealing votes in Iowa after the Florida Senator achieved a surprise third place finish.
If Rubio fails to secure a strong finish in todays primaries he could be forced to drop out of the race altogether.

I looked over at the Republican side, and of course, they had a chair at their handicapped station.

(3 posts)This is one area where I disagree with most Democrats.
How do we keep non-Americans from voting if we don't make it mandatory to show ID?
Laura PourMeADrink
(42,770 posts)this happens - fake voters - to any significant degree to punish millions. It is just a right wing ploy to hopefully minimize Democrat votes
