Clapton in the past has apologized for a racist shout at one of his concerts in the 70s ("Keep Britain White!" or some such silliness). It's important to see how local or national pride doesn't have to mean hatred of foreigners.

Humans are destined to broaden their understanding of each other.... that ultimately what culture is about: connecting, not dividing.
