Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThis motherfucker is ABSOLUTELY inciting people. Fanning flames. Working up mouth breathers.
Twenty minutes of him yelling "get 'em out" they're "Beeeeerine supporters" "professional signs" maybe they're from "her campaign".
He has yet to give a speech. Ore even start one. The sole purpose is to incite violence.

(628 posts)Why are they televising his rally? Where was Bernie's rally yesterday? I agree, he is a total mother fucker and his followers are societal rejects.
The educational system in this country has failed. It's sad.

(177 posts)it would be a public service to show Trump at his worst. In a rational universe, rational people would turn against him after seeing a performance like that he gave this evening. In a rational universe, we would thank the media for giving us the truth.
Too bad we don't live in a rational universe.

These are bad people.
Bernie, Bernie, Bernie.
I hope the media is proud of how they covered this man 24/7 and let
him spread his hate and lies.
This man is disgusting beyond belief.

The protestors are frustrated that his hatred speeches are all but drowning out
any dissent.
Tonight he is saying I see Bernie signs, there's some Hillary signs..they're garbage
and I will defend you, believe me. Direct quote: We are going to take our country
back from those people, they do nothing, they do nothing.

(90,681 posts)Drumpf has been fomenting violence for months now, and he definitely wants it. When it happens he will twist it and use it.
But here's something I am quite sure of: when Trump gets the all-out riot he wants, he won't be there in person.

Trump is damn dangerous.

(12,388 posts)that someone in authority at the police department hasn't told him to STFU. He is endangering all of those officers, let alone the audience.
branford
(4,462 posts)They do not get to tell people, no less major presidential candidates, to "STFU."
The only time that could possibly stop him would be criminal-type incitement, which has a VERY high standard. Trump may be a terrible person advocating offensive ideas, but nothing he's saying or doing comes anywhere close to criminal conduct.
Look at the matter from the other side. For example, if Sanders or Clinton support BLM or other liberal groups during any of their speeches, should law enforcement be able to tell them to STFU because they're allegedly "endangering officers." I'm certainly many police officers and right-wingers would love that to happen.
tavernier
(12,388 posts)that if I stood on a soapbox, gathered a crowd, and told people to slap the shit out of each other, I'd be arrested.
I know that sounds too simplistic... Trump has hired a hall, it's a private event, etc.
But I find it difficult to believe that there aren't any laws that deal with someone who is intentionally attempting to incite a riot. If a dozen people got trampled to death due to the lack of intervention, where does the law stand on that?
branford
(4,462 posts)like inciting a riot. That standards are intentionally extraordinarily high because political speech has the very highest level of protection under the First Amendment.
There's simply no "Trump is an offensive, racist ass" exception to the Constitution. If Nazis can march in Skokie and BLM can chant "pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon," Trump can certainly spew his filth without government sanction.

(31,935 posts)he's been their perfect boogyman to scare voters into the polls. Problem is, Hillary would very easily lose against Trump in the General election, while Bernie beats him by double digits.
