http://www.politicususa.com/2015/03/11/u-s-senate-historian.htmlRepublicans who are already reeling from the letter that 47 of their senators sent to Iran were dealt another blow as the U.S. Senate Historians Office cant find another example of this type of behavior anywhere in Senate history....
The historian left the door open to a letter surfacing that could lend precedent to the Republicans actions, but it isnt a good sign for Republicans that one hasnt been found. Congressional Republicans are fond of accusing President Obama of overreaching and overstepping his bounds, but the letter sent to the Iranian government was a clear case of overreach....
The fact that the Senate cant find a comparable example to the Iran letter demonstrates that the level of hatred that Republicans have for President Obama is also unprecedented. The level of partisan contempt for the man who occupies the White House is so extreme that Republicans are willing to sabotage global security and world peace in an attempt to politically wound the president.
The Iran letter was bad enough, but the intent behind the letter was even worse. Republicans have gone from wrecking their government at home to making the world less safe for all humankind.

(65,616 posts)1. Boehner and McConnell proved that they were too racist to work with this president.
So did Cruz and all his co-horts over in the House. History will not be kind to the GOP, their obvious obstruction and the cause will be repeated forever. Another thing is thankfully Iran did not implode at their offensive letter. Obviously cooler heads prevailed on both sides.
They've NEVER shown this president any respect and openly called him a liar in one of his SOTU addresses. The GOP let their KKK flag fly high and proud these past 8 years. And now they have a white supremacist (take your pick) running as their nominee for the WH.
