Take Back Radio!

It's hard to effect what is passed for "entertainment" on the thousands of radio stations nationally, but I firmly believe that it is the "local" stations that provide the platform that need to be targeted.

- If Seattle has a "local" station that broadcasts nothing but hate (and they do)- why aren't a thousand people marching outside that stations office right now?

- If Washington DC has a "local" station that broadcasts nothing but hate (and they do) - why aren't a thousand people marching outside that stations office right now?

- If New York has a "local" station that broadcasts nothing but hate (and they do) - why aren't a thousand people marching outside that stations office right now?

- If Chicago has a "local" station that broadcasts nothing but hate (and they do) - why aren't a thousand people marching outside that stations office right now?

- If Cleveland has a "local" station that broadcasts nothing but hate (and they do) - why aren't a thousand people marching outside that stations office right now?

- If Norfolk, VA has a "local" station that broadcasts nothing but hate (and they do) - why aren't a thousand people marching outside that stations office right now?

- If Detroit has a "local" station that broadcasts nothing but hate (and they do) - why aren't a thousand people marching outside that stations office right now?

- If Baltimore has a "local" station that broadcasts nothing but hate (and they do) - why aren't a thousand people marching outside that stations office right now?

etc., etc., etc.,

Want to change the hatred and bigotry being spewed 24/7? Make the "local" stations pay a price for offering the platform.

Even the major advertisers pulling ads from specific shows like Rush and Savage and Hannity are not enough if they continue to advertise ON ANY PROGRAM on a Hate Radio station. I don't care if the other 21 hours are nothing but gardening shows and Unicorn Farts...if that station gives a one-second platform to Rush, or any of the other "cookie-cutter-haters", THEY ARE GUILTY OF AIDING AND ABETTING

It's the entertainment part in between churchy programs. Whenever a decent contemporary music station arises within reception range, it is soon purchased by Rmoney types and turned into the Scammity network of tools.

And it's a reliable & massive right wing tilt. And I wonder if they'd listen to something else if it was offered, just to be entertained.

but its also tradesmen, truck drivers, anyone who's on the road for significant portions of the day.

and RW radio has been successful at turning that demographic against unions and the politicians they support. even if they're still in a union!

And nobody cares. They are heroes around here. What else should they air? Radio is old school and liberal talk doesn't work. Remember Air America?

If you drive a truck around town, you're unlikely to be listening to podcasts.

have a sizable selection. And if my arse was in a truck seat all day I'd spring for satellite. No commercials, no station signals fading out.

Driving company trucks with AM radios only. The guys that might call into sports radio. I think they've been listening to RW radio for decades.

The guys you saw in the UIC Trump-rally videos wearing baseball caps and chewing gum. Real Americans.

compelling than hate radio but there was usually something on worth listening to. I'm pretty sure all fleet vehicles come with AM/FM radios at the very lowest level nowadays.

10. Radio is mostly dead as people are getting music and entertainment on their phones and computers now

RW hate radio exists for bosses to pipe it in at construction/trades jobsites to brainwash their workers, or for people to get a dose of racism coupled with traffic and weather info on their commutes. Very few people are actually listening to that shite of their own accord.

Anyone on the left whose serious about radio probably has one of the satellite subscription services. There are several dem/progressive options there (in addition to RW bullshit).
