NJ starting dirty tricks

I lived in Fla. for 19 yrs. and am used to the election tricks. But I moved back to NJ 5 yrs ago, and have never seen these tricks here.
I got to the polls about 7:30, it closes at 8:00, found my name, all good. I went to the booth and the guy said " wow, your the first democrat we've had all day". I said, "That's not good, he said, It seems so strange, this is a strong Dem area.
I get home and call my mom, I told her what he said, she said you would not believe the day I had trying to vote. She said she got a letter a few weeks ago telling her the voting place was changed. Her and my dad, who are in there 80's went to this new place, they got there and they didn't have them on the list. She said she saw a woman she knows who was going thru the same, she said she looked at me and said I don't like this. My mom went home and called the election board and asked what was going on, they said they had 100's calls all day. They went back to the place they always vote and there were their names. She knew the guy there, and he said turnout was really bad, she explained why. She said I made a big stink, that they were targeting older people. on and on. But I think she had the time to go around all day, most people who work don't have that time. They vote before work or on their lunch, or after work. They have a short window. This was meant to discourage people from voting. Ugh.

information. Subverting the vote should be a serious offense. A Federal offense, even if it's a state election. There must not be any law in place to stop them now, but this is really too much.

I've never seen this here. I was used to in in Fla. They would have road blocks and detours on election day. My mom and dad are pissed. They vote republican somtimes, but they saw this so clearly. My mom said this is the republicans.

6. I have had the same problem in Alabama after the 1990 redrawing of state districts.

I live in a small city and the two polling places were only 200 yards from each other so it was no problem to go to the other one, but I could see it being a problem in a larger city. By the way the two polling places were due to State races, when the lines were redrawn it moved my polling place location. Now they have combined the two polling places so the two are across the room from each other. I know this wasn't intentional voter suppression, I am just saying it is frustrating to be told you are not on the list you should try this other location.
