2-year-old hospitalized in Dallas after mother accused of putting her in oven

A 2-year-old girl has been hospitalized in Dallas with second- and third-degree burns after her mother put her in an oven, the Somervell County Sheriff’s Department said.

The Glen Rose Reporter said that Tasha Hatcher, 35, was arrested shortly before midnight Thursday. Witnesses said she told them that she admitted she’d placed her child in the family’s oven.

Hatcher was charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury and arraigned Saturday. Her bail was set at $300,000.
