They don't think in terms of the Big Picture or the long term consequences of their speechifying. It's all about the here and now, the quick instant gratification with a round of applause, a show of hands, a rousing cheer, a good laugh, but no thought at to how their voice -- the words of a potential US president -- the most powerful leader in the world, ripples through friends and foes alike.

Thoughtlessly, these GOP candidates aren't cementing enduring bonds of friendship or strengthening our allies, they're enabling our enemies and inspiring more hatred, fear and retaliation around the globe.
