robocalls. It's gracious to be a good loser, but foolish to concede when Republicans are afoot until absolutely sure of their shenanigans.

This is indicative of how how high the tensions are and people's emotions are extremely high. But any violence directed at any politician needs to be condemned as it's taking things too far.

Not to mention, Mayor Barrett is a very nice guy. He busted his butt and put his neck on the line and that is the thanks he gets? I also think he risked any aspirations for higher office to take that jerk out. He's safe as Mayor of Milwaukee for as long as he wants the job, IMO, but having now lost second gov race(many are unaware, but he ran back in 2002 as well, and lost in the Dem primary. If you count that, he's actually has lost three times), I can't see him getting supported again higher office.

Trying to figure out what happened is driving me nuts. What could we have done different- I really like Barrett and the work he's done as a congressman and mayor, but was he the best candidate for this situation? What happened to our supposed great turnout, even when that was the main focus leading up? How do the pukes keep finding all their votes? Uggh.

At least there is some good news coming out of Racine.

Thanks for asking. How are you doing?

Walker jumped to a huge and immediate lead in all counties except one or two, including Milwaukee. As the tallied returns came in , the blue counties shifted but there were still huge red numbers from the outset - that's the absentees getting posted right away isn't it. MAybe we had a better ground game, but they had better absentee voting? Maybe some of that 30 bajillion was spent sending absentee ballots to registered Republicans?

I assume that majority will have a positive effect in some matters, and you're better positioned to understand that, but for how long?

Afraid today will just be a continuation of last night. May go out to pluck some lovely roses, for a lift. Thanks.
