Bette Davis:

Gregory Peck:

Peck was a political progressive who was once urged by top Democrats to run for Governor of California; he is proud to say he made Richard Nixon's enemies list. How does he feel about Ronald Reagan? "I felt fine when we were on liberal committees together," he says with a sly grin, then launches with bawdy delight into the latest Ron-and-Nancy routine ("Nancy: Ron, did you fart? Ron: Er—no. Spencer Tracy:

Spencer was as good an actor as any who ever stood on a stage, Peck, and of course Davis were in the same league.

Gregory Peck is my dream man. I saw him as a young girl (early teens/late tweens) in "Gentleman's Agreement", which opened my eyes to bigotry more than any thing else I can remember (and his role in To Kill a Mockingbird as well).
